The place
In Sunnmøre the mountains drop straight into the sea. The light barely fades in midsummer, so days stretch out and nobody is in a rush to sleep.
The lodge is reachable only by boat. Phones work, but most guests stop checking them by the second day.

A timber lodge on the water’s edge with eight rooms, a floating sauna and a boathouse for kayaks and rowing boats.

Getting there
Fly into Ålesund (AES) via Oslo. We meet the afternoon ferry; the last stretch is a 25-minute boat ride.
